A traditional Ayurvedic therapy practiced for centuries, Abhyangam is a body massage done with warm therapeutic oil. The oil is applied on the entire body right from the scalp to the soles of the feet followed by a full body massage. Shirodhara comes from the two Sanskrit words “Shiro” (head) and “Dhara” (flow). Shirodhara, a relaxing ayurvedic healing technique involves having a liquid, usually oil, milk or water being poured onto the forehead that flows through the scalp giving a soothing experience. It is combined with a gentle head, scalp and body massage to relieve stress and give a cooling effect to the body, mind and soul.

 

A unique Ayurvedic therapy Dhanyamla Dhara is a massage technique that involves pouring a medicated oil on the affected area from a hung vessel. The medicated oil is made from Dhanya - Cereals and Amla - vinegar derived from citrus fruits. Sarvanga Lepam translates to Full Body Pack.
